At Honda, we build our bikes with passion – with the rider and journey at the heart of everything we do. Designed through a heritage of racing, each motorcycle we make is crafted to perfection. That’s why we think of every last detail; when you ride your Honda on the open road, we want you to feel the same joy we felt building it.

Curiosity – the desire for knowledge – is a funny thing, and we satisfy ours by questioning the convention; it’s what pushes our technology forward. Back in 1990, we wondered why motorbikes didn’t have airbags. It was a simple question. So after fifteen years and a lot of researching and making, our Gold Wing was the first ever bike to have one. Sometimes the best ideas are the ones right in front of you (literally), but take time to perfect, too.

Our experience on the race track inspires all kinds of new ideas, and has sparked superior technologies in all of our road bikes. This is how leading innovations like Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) and low friction piston technology have found their way from superbike to scooter. Great, isn’t it? But it’s still just the beginning. We don’t know what’s next, but we can’t wait to find out.

Our impact on the environment is as important to us as the latest technology. That’s why we actively develop ideas that aim to make the world better. Idle Stop is one of them. It turns off your engine when you’re stuck in traffic or sitting at the lights, saving fuel. Our Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) is another – giving you engines with better performance and lower emissions.

Developing technology that’s kinder to the planet is something we constantly strive to perfect. After all, it’s the green innovations that let us enjoy our time here more than ever. That’s Honda joy.
