Slippery customer
By reducing internal friction, the CBR250R engine is very fuel-efficient – it can cover 27 kilometres on a litre, giving a range of over 350 kilometres from the 13-litre tank.
An engine that excels
Four valves plus DOHC and PGM-FI fuel injection guarantee that the liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine delivers strong torque, for instant acceleration, and free-revving power.
Lightweight and strong
The steel diamond twin-spar frame is light and strong. Kerb weight is low at 161kg and carefully tuned suspension – 37mm telescopic front forks and Pro-Link rear monoshock – offers complete control.
Grown-up grip
Using big-bike tyre sizes promotes superior levels of grip and feedback: cast aluminium wheels mount a 110/70-MC17 front tyre and 140/70-MC17 rear.
Braking control
The potent front dual-piston caliper and 296mm disc is boosted by a single-piston caliper and rear 220mm disc. There is also the optional Honda Combined Anti-lock Brake System, which links both calipers, modulating braking power and aiding stopping traction on wet roads.
