We've given the CBR600RR some exciting updates, wrapped up in a sharp-looking new skin.
Unique to Honda, the Unit Pro-Link rear suspension uses no shock top mount on the frame. This stabilises behaviour under hard cornering and delivers superb traction and turning ability, plus improved shock absorption and much more consistent damping.
New 41mm Showa Big Piston Front Fork generates lower internal pressure, thanks to the larger diameter pistons. The result is more sensitivity especially during braking, with rider feel increased.
The comprehensive instrument panel offers different display modes to suit all track and road riding conditions.
The frame has been improved dramatically by making it lighter towards the extremities, saving weight while centralizing the mass. The Fireblade-derived, 12-spoke, cast aluminium wheels further enhance feedback to the rider.
The ECU tells the damper to decrease damping at low speeds, making the handling lighter. At high speeds, the damping increases, keeping the bike stable, and controlling interference from the road surface.
Confidence-inspiring Electronic Combined ABS intelligently links the front and rear brakes. Hydraulic pressure is then independently applied to each of the front and rear brake calipers, delivering optimal braking force.

The 599cc, liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine not only drives incredibly hard to its redline, but is also flexible, punching out strong mid-range torque. Its remapped Programmed Dual Sequential Fuel Injection system (PGM-DSFI) delivers even sharper throttle response and feel, while the IACV (Intake Air Control Valve) now works at all rpm, for much greater sensitivity and control. It’s as if your right hand is directly hard-wired into this engine.

Beautifully clean, the CBR600RR’s aerodynamic package is derived from Honda’s MotoGP race machines, with clear references to the current RC213V. Its lines echo the design of the factory race machine.
