CTX700

Ready for the ride

Your flexible, laid-back travel companion.

The CTX700 makes riding easy and brings the world to you. Its 669.6cc SOHC parallel twin-cylinder engine produces the sort of torque low in its rev-range that inspires devotion, delivering effortless acceleration and remarkable fuel economy.

Cruising style for the street

The CTX700 has a style that looks great on open roads, city streets and all points in between. Honda’s legendary GL1800 Gold Wing lent a shot of its ‘Horizontal Dynamic’ styling to the CTX700’s sleek lines, with a strong attitude up front injecting a dense, muscular presence. It’s not just about style though, as this bike is built to be ridden. The fairing provides effective wind protection and the short, stubby screen and pressure-equalising vents in the dash help cocoon the rider in a pocket of calm air.

Handling that allows you to explore

With a seat height of just 720mm, the CTX700 is low to the ground and easy to manage. It’s comfortable for the long haul, with a relaxed riding position that encourages you to make the most of the CTX700's range.

The rigid steel diamond frame, 41mm telescopic forks, Honda Multi-Action System (HMAS), rear monoshock and Pro-Link suspension deliver poised and neutral handling. Controllable stopping power is on hand with ABS fitted as standard, which backs up the large front and rear wavy discs.

Power to enjoy

Producing lots of easy-to-use power at low-to-mid rpm – with 60Nm peak torque at 4,750rpm – is what the CTX700’s compact 670cc parallel twin-cylinder engine is all about. PGM-FI fuel injection keeps running costs to a minimum, delivering an impressive 27.9km/l*.

Controlled from buttons on the left handlebar the six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) offers seamless and intuitive gear changes. Three modes of operation offer the rider choice; MT mode gives full manual control, allowing you to shift with the handlebar buttons. However, you can choose a more relaxed ride by selecting Drive (D) mode for automated gear shifts, or add some adrenaline with the Sport (S) mode.
